YOUR PASSOVER INVITATION
And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?'
(Exodus 12:26)
As a growing movement of Christian families wishing to celebrate the Festival of Freedom, there is an educational opportunity to help children connect with the Exodus story of 3,300 years ago as part of his or her memory. Yet, for many celebrating the Festival of Freedom, it may be difficult to experience the bitterness of slavery and the instantaneous moment of liberty during a holiday meal. Furthermore, some people may feel challenged to connect with a story that happened to other people over 3,300 years ago?
Biblical Excavations is proud to release a resource designed to help families experience a past biblical episode in the present moment by connecting with five essential themes for holiday commemoration: (1) Memory; (2) Identity; (3) Freedom; (4) Time; and (5) Narrative. Besides having the family prepare elements of the holiday meal, all members have an interactive role in key points of liturgy.
